Type of a scam Debt Collections
This company contacted me claiming a debt owed from 20 years ago. They called my job, family members, etc. even though I had answered their calls and contacted them back time after time after time. I was continually yelled at, hung up on, so on. When I asked for their company name and address I was given 3 different companies, numerous phone #’s. When I finally spoke with a "supervisor" and given an address it was to a large building in San Diego. I called the building and they have no tenants by the name of Goldstein Litigation. These people played "bad guy" (horrible woman) for an entire week as I tried to find out information on this debt. They then played the "good guy" card with someone that was listening, said he would reprimand the bad people for their harassment, etc. Then offered to settle my thousands of dollars supposed debt for a few hundred. I’m a smart woman but they almost had me. They had just enough information about me to think it was valid. It is NOT. Please beware because they really do have a good scam going. It is upsetting and they play the parts well.
