Give a night sold my elderly mother with dementia a charity scam. This, I realize has been 2 years ago. They called and said if she bought vacation nights they would be able to “gift” nights to people in need. I am now charged with going through her finances and paperwork. While researching her many donations and properties I found the paperwork for this scam. After trying to confirm legitimacy, I realized they charged $615.00 and if she ever hoped to use the vacations included she’d need to send a $65.00 money order as a reservation fee and provide a credit card to be charged $150.00 per person for each vacation.
