Type of a scam Online Purchase

I received an email from what claimed to be Amazon. It was in re: to a refund. It had a survey to take in which you would get a complimentary gift. I chose an anti-wrinkle serum from a company called Zarrah. I decided to pay the $4.95 in shipping as it looked like a good product. The next day I saw an email order confirmation where a cream was added to the order and I was being charged $14.85. I called and the line was identified as "Customer Care." Sensing it was a scam I told them I just wanted to cancel the order. I was then pressured to keep the product but get a reduced cost, but I asked repeatedly to cancel. I received cancellation emails but days later the charge was on my account. I called them again and through some back and forth the rep. came back and said she talked to her managers and then spoke very quickly so I could not understand her, she finished with "have a nice day" and hung up on me before I had a chance to respond. I reported the issue to my credit card co. They got my money back.
