I was contacted through a friend of a friend on Instagram. Originally she was making small talk and eventually asked me about my Coronavirus situation. She later mentioned about her situation and mentioned about her business. With no clear description and answers to my questions, she recommended that I join a zoom webinar. After the meeting, I was called right after under the impression of answering my questions, it turned out to be an interview with her boss. They eventually hyped up their company and persuaded me to join the team. I was excited, yet still unsure, however, I felt this high pressure to continue/try this out. I, unfortunately, I gave my personal information and was charged $100 for a background check. However, this was not for a background check, this was their initial starter fee. But I did not notice it until later, because there was such pressure and had no time to think/reflect. The following day was a meeting with the boss and trainer for my fast start. I was under the impression of helping to educate families with financial services/education, but it turned out to be mostly recruiting. It was overwhelming and not what I had anticipated. I would pressure and recruit my friends into "helping" me. Once I tried the first part of the training I decided to quit, because it was too much. However, my credit card was still charged and they ghosted/cut all texts/emails to me.
