Type of a scam Government Agency Imposter
Attempted to reach out to my wife posing as a friend, asking "if she had been contacted or received any mail from the department of workers compensation appeal board grant WCAB?" My wife responded and said "no". Their response, "They are assisting the old, retired, widowed, workers, teachers, youths, businesses enterprises and Disabled with cash. Are you sure you never heard anything from them yet?" My wife responded: " No nothing caught my eye. We did get our stimulus check though". Their response, "I got $150,000 delivered to me in cash from them and i don’t have to pay it back. I saw your name on their beneficiares list of people entitled to the cash, when i was sighning with the delivery men, it was two places above mine. So I thought I would see if you received yours yet?" AT THIS POINT MY WIFE DID NOT CONTINUE TO MESSAGE ANY MORE AND CAME DOWN TO SHOW ME WHAT WAS GOING ON. And in turn I am passing this info on to you.
