Type of a scam Business Email Compromise
There was a post on Facebook from a Tabitha Gravely (https://www.facebook.com/oyinkansolai1) regarding a work at home opportunity, so i messaged her. She told me a little about the duties of the job and referred me to message a code to [email protected] to have an interview on Google Hangout. Mark Nicholas had me answer some interview questions and said he’s sending our interview to the head department to approve me as a new employee and responded back that I was approved. He proceeded with more information about the job duties and responsibilities and policies and conditions as a new employee. Then he said the company provides the equipment such as a scanner, LaserJet printer and copier and wanted my online banking account login information such as my login and password, my bank information, account and routing numbers. I felt uncomfortable and stated so to him and Tabitha back and forth that I felt uncomfortable and iffy about giving person information to people who couldn’t validate themselves and of course, they tried to assure me that they’re legit and that they’re not lying…I told them I’ll get back to them.
