Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
I received one invoice from Winterton Country Club in South Africa. It has my address listed in South Africa. It is for 770.00 with a credit of 200.00 making the balance 570.00. It does not state what the original charge is for. The 200.00 credit appears to be a payment but does not list how it was paid (cash credit etc). At the bottom it has banking details and lists Winterton Country Club and First National Bank with a separate account number but no address. A month later I received another invoice with an additional 70.00 added to the balance. I believe this is a scam. the font, mispellings and PO Box for the address makes me think this. I have looked up and written to the Winterton Country Club to advise them of this scam.
