Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Received text msgs asking if I was interested in being a secret shopper for Walmart. At first I said no, blocked the number and kept it moving. Then I lost my job and thought, "Maybe this will help my family financially until I find another job!" Then I received 2 letters and 2 cashier’s checks in two separate packages telling me to deposit them into my checking account, and withdraw a certain amount so I can purchase gift cards at Walmart and complete the "Secret Surveyors Evaluation" to help the economy, telling me, "You’re making a real difference in the world! " These checks are FAKE and I would be responsible for paying the bank back 100% of these "funds."
