Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I was messaged on LinkedIn from a connection that I did not have much contact with previously. Her account was hacked and told me about this opportunity to participate in secret shopper experience. I was intersted since I have a background in retail which the hacker may have targeted. I followed the instructions to sign up, enter my email, phone information and a password. I was then asked to provide my address when I received a letter in the mail with a cashier’s check and instructions on how to receive the funds.
