WA Global Logistics

Henry – Sep 10, 2020

I almost got scammed myself today. See below for the emails “Sandra Jones” sent to me. Unfortunately I did give them my name address and phone number. They already have my emails. Anyone know how at risk I am for identity theft? The alarms went off after I sent that information unfortunately. Things that made me suspicious first off was her name was Sandra Jones but her email was [email protected] Also the price of those RVs were in the $30k range. Her first story was an uncle died at 85 and she’s selling it. Didn’t make sense to me that a niece who would be 40-50 by now would be deployed to the South China Sea. The ad was taken down as well.

The WA Global Logistics site had some red flags too. The BBB has a D- rating with the only review from last week saying it may be a scam (no one answers or returns emails). The website says 18 years experience but at the bottom copyright was 2020 and “powered by WA global?”. Then I saw this post below EXACTLY like what was sent to me. Thank you everyone and this site. They got some info but not all. Still worried so any advice would help. Thanks!

Hi again,

I drove the RV when I was serving in Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha Nebraska. Last week I was deployed to Pennsylvania at Naval Surface Warfare Center, we are making final preparations before deploying to the South China Sea at USS Momsen for a year and I don’t want to store the RV because there is no one to use it. The RV is currently stored in our military compound in Omaha, Nebraska and it will be delivered from there through WA Global Logistics Inc (www.waglobal-logistics.com)

The delivery takes 2-3 days and all necessary paperwork required for registration will be provided along with the RV. The price I’m asking for is $6,500 and the reason I’m selling it below market value is because my deployment will take place in two weeks and I don’t have time for negotiations. The financial part will be managed by WA Global Logistics, Inc and you will get a 5 days inspection period before committing to buy it. Using WA Global Logistics Inc we are both 100% covered during the steps of this transaction. WA G.L Inc will hold your money until you receive the RV and I get paid only if you decide to keep it after the inspection period of 5 days ends. If you find anything wrong with it at all you can simply return it on my expense and WA Global Logistics Inc will send you a full refund immediately. I’m sure it won’t be in case my RV is in perfect condition like I’ve described.
If you’re serious and you decide to proceed with the purchase please send me your full name, shipping address + phone# and I will get everything started as soon as possible with WA Global Logistics. WA G.L will contact you right away with all the details of the transaction and will explain better the entire process.

Regards,
Sandra

Hello,

My name is Sandra Jones and I’m the owner of the 2003 Kodiak VXL2200 Motorhome for $6500. The rv belonged to my 85 year old uncle who passed away a few months ago. It is built on the Ford E350 chassis with V10 engine and has 42,681 miles. This is a fully self contained RV with onboard fresh water and waste tanks, power slide-out, and an ONAN 2800 generator with 139 hours. This is a 22′ long Class B RV with a power slide-out. The floorplan includes a rear kitchen with gas range, microwave, refrigerator and freezer. It has a full bathroom/shower with a regular door. This rv has obviously been well cared for. The title is clean and clear (under my name) without any liens or encumbrances. Owner’s manual and full service records included. Please reply if interested.

Regards,
Sandra.

Just FYI. WA Global Logistics does not have a business license in the state of Washington. Also the address they provide on their website is actually for The Port of Seattle. I could not find any info that would prove them to be a legitimate business of any kind.

Thank you all for posting here. It saved me $6500. I wanted to by an RV off of RV Trader website. When I emailed about the post the person said they posted the ad for a friend and gave me her email address. [email protected] Sandra Jones. Here is her reply to me after I said I would fly out to Ohio to purchase it.

Nicole Withers also goes by Elizabeth Simmons sold a RV. wanted money sent to an escrow company, wa global logistics, who would handle transaction and arrange for shipping. Said she lost husband, needed money etc. William Michael Ness is supposedly the customer support mgr but he is part of the scam. Wanted money sent by wire transfer. DO NOT deal with this company is a scam.

I just narrowly missed being scammed by “nicole”. Thank you so much for posting this! You saved us old retirees a chunk of money. Lesson learned.
I was getting suspicious when she wouldn’t give us her phone number and all of her replies seemed to be “manufactured” so to speak.

An advertisment was posted on a car sales website, when connected with the seller she provided a story about why she was selling the car that it was her sons that died in a motorcycle accident. They provided photos and information about the car. I advised I was interested in buying. The seller "Elizabeth Simmons" [email protected] said she would be shipping the car from Tacoma, WA to my home in California using WA Global Logistics and someone from WA Global Logisitics would contact me to arrange shipment. I was then provided an Escrow Agreement and told to wire the money USD $20,200 to an Escrow account via Coinbase, Inc. I was told that the money would be held in the escrow account and I had 5 days after receiving the car to confirm I would like to make the purchase of which then the money would be released from the escrow account. If I decided I did not want the car then the money would be wired back. I foolishly provide them with my full name, phone numbers, home address, DL, and last four of Social Security. The car was suppose to arrive one week after wire and was contacted to let me know that the car was in route. The car didn’t arrive so I called the company to ask of status and left a message requesting to speak to William. I got a call back from William and as soon as I told him my name he hung up and if I called back it sent to an auto answering machine. I emailed multiple email address for the "seller", "sellers son" and "WA Global Logistics"

Seller – Elizabeth Simmons address is listed as 4907 S Pine St, Tacoma, WA 98409

Seller son – Timothee Guerine [email protected]

WA Global Logistics – William Michael Ness, Customer Support Manager [email protected] [email protected] +1 (206) 659-8401?. 2711 Alaskan Way Seattle, WA 98121

The phone number is now disconnected and of course no response to any of my emails.

I have now lost that money in hopes of buying my dream car at an old age!

It is in immaculate condition, meticulously maintained and hasn’t been involved in any accident. The title is in my name and is clear. I am selling it at this final price of $14,500 because I need the money asap. My husband died 2 months ago (we had a car accident) and I had a throat & brain surgery, I’m selling our RV so I can be able to recover myself (physically & mentally). That’s the reason why I want to sell it asap and my last price is $14,500 including delivery to your home address.

Hello Nicole. Thank you for the reply and I’m sorry to hear about your recent troubles. My wife and I are Definitely interested your motor home. I was going to take a look at a similar model in Florida but my wife likes the layout and decoration of yours better. Would it be possible to schedule an inspection? Also, how firm are you on the price? The other one I was looking at is $11,000. If it passes inspection I could pick it up this weekend and pay cash.

Please let me know and I will make the necessary arrangements.

Thank you.

PS you can also text me at 3***** if you would like. Email is fine as well.

Thank you,

Please find all pictures attached to this email ! As I told you in my first email, my husband died in a car accident and I’ve suffered some bad injuries. After the accident, I moved to my daughter, in Tacoma WA for recovery and hopefully a new life. The RV is also in Tacoma and for the sale I’m using WA Global Logistics, Inc. services for shipping and escrow. The deal includes free delivery and it will arrive at your address in 3-5 days. You will have 5 days to try out and if by any reason you find something you don’t like about it you can send it back on my expense. If you are interested in knowing more info about how the whole process works, I can ask WA Global Logistics to send you an email with more information on how to purchase it. WA Global Logistics will contact you shortly after they have the details with all the information that you need to complete this deal.

If you are serious about buying the RV, please reply with your full name, shipping address and phone number so I can register the deal with WA Global Logistics. After that they will send you the contract and the invoice. There you should have more details about payment, shipping and insurance and will explain better the entire procedure.
