Type of a scam Tech Support
A female caller by the name of Annie Smith (doubt that) said he was calling because my computer showed technical problems. I immediately knew it was a scam, so I asked her for the company’s name and her phone number. She said his company was VT Support, which I asked her to spell for me because I had difficulty understanding her English. She immediately wanted information from me and asked if I was in front of my computer, but I refused to provide information, I insisted that she give me her phone number first. She provided it to me, I told her I was reporting it to the ScamPulse.com and I hung up. . So there was no chance for him to ask for money. The phone number I reported is what she provided however the number on my caller ID is 646-569-9044.
