Type of a scam Employment
They initially contacted me through my school email about an employment opportunity and asked me to reply with my name, number, address, and email if I was still interested. A few days later they texted me saying I got the job and that they would send me the check the next day. The check had extra funds, more than what they promised me, and they told me to send it to their supplier in Michigan. A couple hours later they informed me that it was not enough and that they needed me to buy iTunes gift cards to compensate the rest of the expenses. At this point, I knew I was being scammed.
