A window on my computer came up from Microsoft with a warning that my computer was being hacked and if I didn’t call the 800 number listed my computer would be shut down–I called–the operator said that she would get me to a technician to fix the problem–all the time I thought I was speaking to Micro soft–the tech ran my programs and said he cleaned everything–he said that my Norton Anti Virus could not take care of the problem that I had and they only work on viruses–he said I should buy their protection–I did with anelectronic check for $350 dollars–I became suspicious and called Norton–they said it was a scam–the company name is Vishwarka out of New York–I called my bank and put a stop to the check–but I am worried about my checking acct. information. On Microsoft website they said that they never put up a window with a warning only e-mails.
