Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Received UPSP envelope at my front door. Shipping information was from a (Vincent t driscoll..501 Meadowbrook pl..Huxley..IA. 50124-4724. Inside was a form letter with moneygram letter head and a cashiers check, payable to me for $1998.00 from Georgia’s own credit union. PO Box 105205 Atlanta GA 30348…under my name was RE: Daniel Johnson…the letter, welcoming me to the team, had instructions for me, as my first assignment as “survey analyst/store evaluator” The assignment needed to be completed within the next 48 to 72 hours..I was to email them (when I received the envelope) at [email protected] to enable them to have a record my assignment had been delivered…then, I was told to deposit the check in my bank account…I’m sending photos of the documents I received for you to see…needless to say, I never intended to follow these instructions…just reporting this scam to you..I have included photos of what I received
