Type of a scam Employment
I had a friend reach out to me that they received a text from someone named Cassandra that said I referred my friend for a job. They sent her a fake screenshot of a text conversation where “I” said my friend was looking for a job and giving her information. I don’t know anyone by that name, nor would I give out my friends information without their permission. This “Cassandra” even took it a step further by sending an email to my friend claiming to be my manager. Again, not the case.
I called the number these texts were sent from and it went to an automated service for Vector Mobile jobs. You can’t speak to a person at all.
I’m concerned about someone claiming to be my boss, faking text messages, and contacting my friends. If this is a scam, which I feel it may be a pyramid scheme, I don’t want my friends thinking it’s me putting them in this position.
