Received a voice message claiming the tech company (VAS Group LLC) I have used in the past had a circuit crash and is refunding all customers. Received consistent calls from a different phone number asking when he can give me refund through the computer. At a later discussed date, he gained remote access to my computer and transferred more funds than my refund amount, due to "a mistake". He then claimed I need to repay that excess money back via gift cards or he "will lose his job". After doing what I thought was right and giving money back, I discovered he had moved my own money from one account to another, and that I was giving him my own money.
Person’s names were Paul Schmidt (NY phone #) and Kenneth Murray (GA phone #).
