Type of a scam Travel/Vacations
Stayed at Grand Mayan and took tour of property. Did not sign up for timeshare , too costly. When leaving approached by man who had desk set up in Mayan building who told us he had returned property and would sell it to us under $5000. Said it was returned to their inventory for non-payment. We decided to split the cost and take advantage of this offer since we loved staying at grand mayan. We were told we could stay there two weeks in 2bed 2bath unit each year. We saw the name vacation privileges on papers but were deceived into thinking that it was owned by Vidante, the grand mayan company. When trying to book our next two weeks we found out that Vacation privileges is just a travel arrangement company. Also told by the salesman not to tell anyone of this great deal. We believe this is fraud, deception and bait & switch.
