I received a call claiming that I had been selected for a 5 star resort vacation package for two for a 6 days/5nights trip all inclusive vacation to either Orlando, Costa Rica, Bahamas, Las Vegas, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, or Cabo San Lucas. After I went through the first initial screener who asked my age – I was told that I would also receive a cruise package for 8days/7nights. I could purchase the package now and there would be no blackout dates and it was valid for 2 years.
They were asking for $999.00 today because it was a limited offer and I would be paying over the phone. I asked for something in writing and they steered me towards their website and told me that I would go through their corporate payment and it would be recorded and I would be sent a receipt afterwards.
She asked why the hesitancy and gave a long and exhaustive answer to the scam complaints I might see. She then offered me a discounted rate because I would not be traveling with kids. I didn’t take the offer because it sounded too fishy. The website was created this year and its registrant is private. There is no address on the website…
