On 1/22/20, received a call from a “local police" department saying that there was a warrant on my name and address and that I needed to call US financial resources to resolve this matter. They gave me a phone number, 210-888-0865. The person that I talked to at that number informed me that they work for TransUnion and that they were suing me for an outstanding balance. He informed me that there was a criminal charge against me, something like “theft by deception" and that I owed someone $1967.21. They had issued a warrant for my arrest. I asked the person what were the charges, who I supposedly owed money to, and why was I just now hearing about this matter. I have no unpaid debt. I called Transunion. They knew nothing about it. I was on the phone making calls for close to two hours. This was no ordinary scam, I usually know really fast when a call is a scam, but this company had my address, phone number, and somehow they used the "police" phone number to hook me. Phishing? They used fear, threat, and deception. I talked to an attorney who said it sounded like a scam and advised me not to call them again. I talked to the police department, and they said no such officer called me, they don’t call people with that kind of threat or warning, and it sounded like a scam.

A message was left -The person states that she is Ms Mitchell calling from US legal services and there are charges filed and paperwork is going to be served tomorrow. That I must be present or they are coming to my employer to find me to sign the paperwork. They do not ever use a name or SS# for anyone or what the charges are or who the plaintive is- just general fear tactics.

A man by the name of Kevin Miller says that he is suing my mother and tells her that the only way he can accept payment is by itunes gift cards. I ask for the address of his firm "US Legal Services" and he says he is not allowed to give that out.
