Type of a scam Tax Collection
My mother received a phone call from a "Brianna Scott" from
Dept of Treasury. The phone number is 775-229-8080. The message on her answering machine states that there has been a tax fraud filed against my mother and that she needs to call this number within 30 days or she will be arrested. It has scared and intimidated my mother and she is very upset. I assured her it was a scam but I know that she is very shaken up over this.
