Type of a scam Government Agency Imposter
Got a messenger in messenger from a friend that I haven’t talked to on messenger asking how I was doing. Small talk then asked me if I heard bout the usa goverment grant money they are helping ppl out with due to covid. I said no how do u apply, she sent me a phone number but told me to be completely honest with them that is how I caught on. So I messaged the number just to see and a person responded with the name richard delany from the us agency for internation development program.asking for my name then some more information and I then asked if I had to pay a fee to get this grant and he said yes I would have to pay a clearance fee to receive this grant. So I informed him that I wasn’t interested and that if there is no such fee’s charged when the government is helping with grants and such and he never responded back.
