Type of a scam Employment
I received an invitation to interview for a position with Union Holmes Savings and Loan. The invitation was received via Upwork (a freelancing company) from Rachael Scot. I was advised to contact Mrs. Claudia on Google Hangouts at [email protected] An interview was conducted via messaging. I went along with the interview but something didn’t feel right. When I researched the company, there wasn’t any history. In addition, I discovered another website that looked similar (see www.dsdc.info – Deiter, Stephens, Durham and Cook). I provided Mrs. Claudia with my first and last name, my email address and my location (city and state only). This all took place on 8/10. On 8/11 I was scheduled to again meet up with Mrs. Claudia via Google Hangouts. I advised Mrs. Claudia that I had researched the company, and after further consideration, declined to accept the position. After that, I did not receive a replay from Mrs. Claudia. When I tried to message her again, the message was not able to be delivered.
