Yesterday (Mother’s Day), I got a message from my friend on messenger. She always texts on the phone, never on messenger. It said it was different account than the regular Facebook, even though it had her picture on it. I responded because I thought she just got a new account and wanted to wish me a happy mothers day. This morning, I got a message from her saying that her life was wonderful and wanted to know if I heard of UNDEF. It is a money grant to help people maintain the standard of living. She said that she got $150,000 delivered and you don’t have to pay it back. She urged me to text Agent Bob Frank at 1-615-857-2377 and say that my friend told me about it. I asked her how long it took from the time she applied and the time she received her money. She said that within 24 hours, Fed Ex was at her door. That is when I started to realize this wasn’t her I was talking to. She kept urging me to text ASAP. So I text her to see if she was up, because it was earlier than she would normally be up. It’s been an hour with no response, so I know it wasn’t her. Besides, she would call me in person to tell me that news if it really happened. After I told her that I needed to discuss it with my husband first, they still insisting that I need to text and apply. I ended it with: Scam, shame on you. Don’t ever contact me again.

I do not know for sure if this is a scam. Here’s what happened. I was approached by Messenger by a friend to contact Henry Collins on Facebook to collect grant money. She said she got $150,000. Knowing this person I felt there’s no way she would have gotten that much money for anything. I decided to do some googling on the subject. I came across your Messenger scam page and thought I should report this. I don’t have a lot of info, as I did not make contact with this Henry. Good luck catching the bad guys!

Was contacted by my pastors wife “I thought” her name is exactly like name I listed except they added an “r” in her middle name and they even are using her picture. Asking me how I was. I just had surgery so thought she was checking on me but realized it wasn’t her when they started asking me if I was aware of this Organization UNDEF. I knew she wouldn’t talk about something like that.! I pretended as If I was interested to see what they would ask me for and next thing they did was send me a link to apply for this grant and it would only cost me the filing fee of 700.00 dollars. I have not responded and will not click on their link.

Total money lost $1,200

Type of a scam Government Grant

My boyfriend was contacted by a Facebook friend he’s known for years saying he received grant money for a small fee. My boyfriend trusted this friend and contacted the number he was given, he sent money to the account they told him only to be informed that the money was seized by the IRS. The contact continued to ask for $5000 to unseize the money. When asked to return the money sent the man got nasty with him. We are currently trying to get our $1200 back.

This contact information was shared with me by a facebook friend on facebook messenger who stated that by clicking on the link, the agent would help me apply for a guaranteed grant of $120,000. I did not actually click on the link, I asked the ScamPulse.com first to see if it was a scam, and then reported it

They get your contact information from hacking Facebook instant messenger. Then they act like one of your Facebook friends. They are pushy and don’t let up. They keep texting you. They want a fee for a government grant.
