Type of a scam Credit Cards
I received a phone call from 718-258-9053 – an automated "this is your final offer. To reduce the interest rate you currently pay on your credit card account" I immediately pushed 9. A man with an accent came on and I said "remove my number from your list". He replied "$500 and I will remove your number". I said "what is your name?" He replied "Sean" I asked "what is your employee ID number?" He replied "6001". I asked "what company do you work for?" He replied "i cannot tell you that" I said "how do I pay the $500 if I don’t have a company name?" He replied "You give me account number and I run your card" I said "ok whats a number i can call you back on?" He replied "800-983-8472" which he said as if he didn’t know the number and was reading it. SCAM!!
