Type of a scam Employment

Hi there I found a job posting I applied for that I believe to be suspicious. i found a postion through AustinJobs.com for a payroll officer. the pay was $45/hr, part time work, to be done from home. the company alleges to offer cloud payroll services and hirees would print and mail checks. i noticed something suspicious when i was told that $2350 worth of office equipment would be overnight shipped to my house at no cost to me. furthermore the interviewer was ready to offer $1950 for "petty cash" and 7 hours pay upfront to "motivate new workers". This person said an account would send me a pdf check by email to be deposited via mobile banking. Theres mutiple postings for this job in various locations around the country, but primarily in Texas. i repeatedly asked for a contract outlining responsibilities and liabilities for the equipment and the representative ignored this. when i asked for the Federal Employer ID Number, the person said it was company policy not to provide this to new hirees until after a 3 month probation. i have email proof i am willing to share. thank you for your time and service. the verbiage used by this person is definitely geared to entice people who are low on income. given the current pandemic and many people’s inability to find work, i dont want anyone to get scammed and lose the capability to support themselves and family
