Type of a scam Moving
I called and spoke to michael about the cost of moving my stuff from Florida to Michigan, I have him the measurements of my furniture which is 1 queen bed, 1 couch that comes apart, and 1 small table with 4 chairs, he told me that my things are not at their minimum of 201 cubic feet, so my cost would be 1150.00 total I immediately gave them the 400.00. The movers came and picked up my stuff and after everything was loaded they came back up and said that my stuff was 400 cubic feet and I owed an additional 1000.00 dollars and I had to sign a paper and they wouldnt take my things off their truck. I called the company immediately and NO ONE would answer my call, I have left several messages and emails with NO response. The moving company called today and said I now owe 1350.00 (this is on top of the 760.00 I already paid) I am a disabled veteran with limited income, I would have sold my stuff if I knew it would have cost that much. I do not know what to do. From the reviews I just read I am not the only victim. Can anyone help
