Salesperson came to residence in the evening telling us that the electric company (***) was raising rates at the beginning of the month and we should lock in rates with their provider (***) by switching to them. She took our *** account information and a photo of my driver’s license. This scam was an unethical solicitation that was unauthorized by our building management. By the time it was over, I was just trying to fill out her papers so that she would leave. I will be keeping a close eye on our electric bill and contacting *** to put a freeze on any changes to my account information.
