These people start to harass you as soon as you come out of the south ferry subway terminal. They tell you about the horrible lines and wait times at the entrance to Ellis island and the Statue of Liberty. They tell you their tour has no wait and if you will pay cash then you will not have to pay tax. I paid with a credit card and then got walked a block to go stand in line with hundreds of other poor suckers! After waiting 2 hours we figured out they are slowly bussing you to New Jersey where you will wait another 2 hours to maybe get on a boat. If you call the number on the back of the ticket it says it is no longer in service ! Please shut these con artist down and bust them for tax evasion. Most of the people getting scammed are not USA citizens but just tourist trying to see the statue. I am sure this is a definite negative in their trip and cause them to think negative about this city and country !
