I saw a nice house on Craigs List for rent for $500 a month (all inclusive) and contacted the person renting it. During an email exchange, they said they are currently out of the country with their wife working in Nigeria for a charity and will be gone for 2-3 years, that is why they are renting the house. Timothy wanted me to send the $500 security deposit and the $500 first months rent, at which point he would send me the keys via FEDEX from Nigeria.
He gave his name as Timothy J Carmichael. The email address given was [email protected] The phone number given was 011 234 803 307 4495.
I went to look at the address on my lunch break and their is a "For Rent" sign outside with a local realtor company but I felt it was far too nice a house to be just $500 a month, so I called the company and they said that they are not renting the house for $500 a month and they have had several calls, just like mine, that someone had saw the house on Craigs List.
