Tht Sounds Gay

Ricardo – Feb 08, 2021

I got a message from a random account, saying to message this “brand”. I did, and monica messaged me back, she is clearly a bot, and i would not recommend buying anything from this brand, it’s clearly a scam. Please save your money!

Pamela – Feb 07, 2021

two accounts messaged me claiming to be from thtsoundsgay. they had no followers and not pictures. so, i DMed thtsoundsgay to let them know that people were messaging random accounts. immediately Monica started jumping to conclusions and saying ‘thank you for being an ambassador’ when he mentioned i wouldn’t buy anything, she would say “i don’t understand, how can i help” it’s a massive scam and Monia is clearly a bot. when i called her out she seemed clueless and continued repeating the same thing. waste of time.

Sarah – Feb 04, 2021

I got a message from “Kayla” and she asked me to be an apart of the brand. I am a small art page and she had no followers or posts but linked me to the account of Thatsoundsgay on IG. I did not text her or anything and just reported both accounts. Very sus and my boyfriend even affirmed it was very sus. Never scummy behavior.

I have the same experience as most of your here guys!
I have been contacted through IG for becoming an ambassador of the brand and I accepted since I loved the t-shirts and the idea of the donations. They sent me a 30% code and I made a purchase of 97 USD, received after that confirmation of the order with the tracking number and everything…this was on August 25, 2020. Until today, almost the end of December 2020, I did not receive any item, no replies from the customer care centre, the track number is showing that the items are still in the US…so embarrassed and annoyed by this scam!
Now my profile doesn’t exist anymore on their website and I am afraid they will use my card for another scam!
I do not live in the US and apparently there is nothing I can do…

Jack – Feb 13, 2021

I hope you contacted your bank to recover your money.

Robin – Dec 22, 2020

I received my t-shirt and posted about it. I also managed to activate the partnership link with their ig account. Today I found the tag disappeared from my photo and also the partnership link is gone. They deleted all the pics from their account!

Should I really be worried about my card datas?

Olivia – Dec 20, 2020

I had gotten a DM from this account which had no followers or posts, stating they were from ThtSoundsGay. This vv sus account told me to DM the main about being a brand ambassador. I did… but remembered not to give any personal info or anything to this kinda untrustable account. I started having a conversation with “Monica” (picture included of the end of our conversation). I informed this person that I was not going to buy anything, and I thought it was a bot because “Monica” obviously wasn’t understanding what the [censored] I was saying. Now I look and the account is gone, and I see reports of scam for this “company”. So ain’t that [censored]ing lovely! This new way of scamming is kinda [censored]ing scary, pretending to be a nice company who supports the LGBT community by selling apparel. God… I’m shook.

Same as everyone else: bought two shirts as a “brand embassador” only to not have the order delivered to me and have no one respond to my enquiries through email and social media. Will pursue legal advice on the matter.

Kristen – Dec 16, 2020

hello, so what do you advice me to do right now? To just block that account or tell the user that they are just scammers. My experience is similar to what most of you guys have faced.

Gabriel – Dec 07, 2020

Well it looks like to me MONICA Is not going to get caught cause she’s definitely at it again. Wild… stay safe out there.

Molly – Nov 27, 2020

The full conversation I had with the “brand” before and after my order is attached.

Summary of the experience… I was promised a feature and a “special gift” after purchase. Neither was followed through. I questioned their authenticity of their “brand” and was ignored until I posted on my page publicly a put them which they threatened to sue me for defamation.

They stopped replying to me after I bombarded them with screenshots and links of others, including this link, that also believe they are a scam.

Cory – Nov 15, 2020

“Monica” reached out to me in August to become a brand ambassador, after seeing what charities the donations would go to it piqued my interest. I became an “ambassador” and ordered 2 T-shirt’s, were now almost 3 months on and I’ve not received anything. I’ve DM’d, I’ve Emailed, I’ve done everything to try and find out where my parcel is but still haven’t heard anything. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Scammy af

Brianna – Nov 14, 2020

Someone named Monica told me customer service was available 24/7 and I could email her or DM anytime. I placed an order, was not given any updates on tracking my package, spent the last 4 months going back and forth with them not responding or being extremely unhelpful. I would ask for any updates and IF they replied, it would be something like “your order is on the way please be patient!“ Well…that’s fine but give me a tracking number so I know exactly where the parcel is in the process. Very very very very scam like.

When I finally received my parcel, it was not all that I ordered. So they took my money, scammed me, and refuse to respond to anything.

Next step: my lawyer is already on it lol.

Anne – Nov 09, 2020

So I saw on Instagram that they were looking for brand ambassadors and decided to contact them. Monica 🤖 talked to me and created a code for the discount. Because I and my daughter are both bi, I bought two shirts and a set of pins. I got an email with a tracking number but it still to this day says it’s in preshipment. It’s been almost two months. I emailed several times. Both time getting a reply from Nicolas C. 🤖 about the pandemic causing delays and asking for the order number even though the order number was in both emails I sent. I tried to comment on the sponsored posts on Facebook to warn people that it’s a scam but the posts kept getting deleted and I would get a 🤖 message wanting to “chat about becoming a brand ambassador”. So I’m filing a dispute on the charge and hoping I can get the money back. I also figured out if you comment on their posts with a normal comment of “wow” or “cool” then it will get approved and you can edit the post to say that it’s a scam! So if you’re feeling PettyBetty like me you can use this trick to blow up their posts.

Marie – Nov 09, 2020

This is bull! They messaged me on Instagram about being a brand ambassador so of course I was excited and up for it, they gave me a discount code and I purchased a shirt off their website they even mentioned a surprise for becoming a brand ambassador. It’s been weeks and I never received the shirt I bought and every time I try to contact them about it I get no response back. This is horrible! I definitely should’ve looked more into it before putting my card info in and purchasing that shirt! I’m worried they are gonna use my card info and steal money. Does anyone have suggestions on what I should do? I’m an 18 year old with collage debt, the last thing I need is to have money taken from me!

Evan – Nov 08, 2020

Most of the time I don’t trust this, but I found the donation interesting so I agreed, how disrespectful that they do this, I keep waiting for answers but they don’t give it to me, my fear is about the information on my card , WE HAVE TO REPORT ALL OF THIS! Can more money be stolen from me if I don’t do anything about my card?

Phillip – Nov 01, 2020

So I got reached out to be a brand ambassador and didn’t google it which I should have. I got my shirt and nothing else which I was promised so I never posted about it. I messaged Monica back on Instagram more than once they were online because it shows and nothing. I emailed Monica at the email she gave me and it came back to me as undeliverable because it didn’t exist. I sent an email to the email address on the website and got an email back asking if I got my order or not which I said I got the shirt but nothing else. He never replied again. I never heard back Today I decided to look into it more and found this page.

Brittney – Nov 07, 2020

I had a similar experience but I got nothing from them. I did not get a t-shirt or pins.

Austin – Oct 27, 2020

A friend and I both purchased shirts after they received the DM with their code. My tracking code never updated, neither of us have received anything. He has a separate app to see shipments, and his shows it was delivered to a different address. I wish I had looked up reviews before I ordered but I thought their site looked legit. I’ve emailed their help email address with no response, and had DMed about getting a refund when the shipping email was taking a while. I got a robotic response about becoming a brand ambassador and the next day received shipping info. This was 2 weeks ago. Anyone know what we can do? They can’t keep taking advantage of people like this

Carl – Oct 27, 2020

I’ll tell you, guys, maybe will help someone. they also sent me a message and I said that I’m not gay, I would love to recommend profiles of gays people but they did’nt even care so much they asked me my favorite t-shirt, I said and they sent me a code. but didn’t tell me anything about what I said, anyway. I didn’t buy before to search the brand here in Google

Tonya – Oct 17, 2020

Okay, so, I was also reached out and asked to be a “brand ambassador”. I talked to my mom, for I am only 15 years old, about it and she said it fine as long as I looked it up to make sure nothing was wrong. But here I am, learning that it is more than likely a scam. I got offered a code along with a “special prize for being an ambassador” just like so many others on here. I’ve sent a message to the actual account and so far, no response, but from what it seems like, especially the over priced things, this is a scam. By over priced things, I mean paying $40 for a t-shirt. I get that the proceeds are said to “go to charities”, some of which I have never heard of, but I would like to point out, a single person could go and make their own shirt that looks exactly like it for barely $15 and then donate the left over $25 to a charity of your choice. The pictures I’ve included are both the random message I got from a very random acount and then part of the conversation I had with the actual acount.

Grace – Oct 15, 2020

i ordered $61.84 worth of product beginning of septemper and contacted them on inst to ask where my order was and they asked for a tracking code they hadnt given me so i brought up the complaints that i have seen and told them that i will be calling the police for fraudation and i did and was given the contact for the police fruad team. the next day i woke up to a working traking code.

Melinda – Nov 06, 2020

Did you receive a receipt for your purchase because I didn’t

Trevor – Oct 14, 2020

I just got the same email to become an ambassador or reps. I really thought it was real. I did not had time to order so I waited. I was just Googled the site and saw all the bad [censored] about them. I just send them a awful message. Can’t we do something about it they are using the name gay in a really bad way.

Heather –

Omg I’m so upset! That happens to me! Someone form their Instagram give 30% for being ambassador how ever it took them for ever and I never received my shirt! I spend $80 because I wnat to support made in America and also support the cause but how terrible that this is a scam?! How do I get my money back or shouldn’t they be reported?

Travis –

So glad I decided to google cause they just offered me to be a brand ambassador and I was a little skeptical-

Heidi –

Just found out I got scammed. Wish I would’ve googled. Don’t do it. [censored] I’m an [censored]

Lydia –

Hi. They also wrote me offering to be a brand ambassador with a discount and a little present for a purchase. I believed them and ordered a t-shirt. Then they disappered. I only got e-mail from them that delivery can take 14 days instead of 6 because of the pandemic situatuon, but it’s been already a month. USPS code provided by them is not valid. They don’t answer my e-mails, they don’t answer on Instagram and there’s only a robot answering on a Facebook, offering again become an ambassador. I suppose there would be no money back, no t-shirt. They are definitely taking advantage of LGBT comminity, because earlier I could have never believed that such an organization, telling a lot of words about pride, support and charity, can behave like this.

Jermaine –

Same thing happened to me. After following up 3 times on email and countless on the Instagram DM, they finally emailed me back and said it was taking longer than anticipated. Still hoping to receive my shirt but I won’t hold my breath.

Aaron –

I also got dm from some strange account to become ambassador, just so you know their terms and conditions are strange. If you are interested definitely should check it out.

Mallory –

Hi there, so many people here I also have a complaint. I was reached out in my DM about being a brand ambassador, them creating a code for me, etc. I purchased 1 tee shirt and after I received it posted some pics and shared in my IG stories. I never got a tag, share, etc. Every time I DM them, I never get a response or nothing. Clearly they wanted my money which wasn’t much, but still a scam! I’m definitely reporting them to IG because many people are complaining about this “brand”. They’re supporting a good cause but in a shady way.

Francisco –

Hi there, well I also have a complaint with this company. I was reached out like many others about being a brand ambassador, creating a code for me, etc. Well I purchased only 1 tee shirt, tagged and shared my stories on IG, never got a tag, share, etc. Clearly they just wanted my money which wasn’t much, but still a scam! I’ve read many bad reviews about this brand and every time I DM them, I never get a reply! Don’t trust this brand and I’m reporting them to IG. They’re supporting a good cause but in a shady way, not good.

Lydia –

Ordered my son pins off of here but have not received a tracking number. Really upset.

Linda –

Hi, could you email me at [email protected]? I’ve been scammed too and I’m slightly panicking I need to talk to someone about it, thanks!

Nikki –

Tht sounds gay is a spam someone named Monica was texting me of the idea of being a brand ambassador and then she made a code for me and then told me to check out their website and buy t-shirts well I didn’t have any money so I didn’t purchase any.Report Tht soundsgay on instagram do not recommend it

Vanessa –

Yeah the same girl messaged me

Andrew –

they contacted me about being a representative or something via yet another one of those burner accounts (zero posts, zero followers, zero following).
i didn’t reply, but i almost bought it bc im one of those dumb kids, but now it’s obvious they’re scammers orz

Audrey –

send me this. pretty odd and weird. i’ve also been seeing their ads all over my feed. glad i didnt do anything yet lol. anyway the ads and this seem to all be talking abt being an ambassador and it’s just generally sketchy

Sierra –

I got a message on instagram saying they are looking for brand ambassadors and reps. So I decided to look online to see if they were legit since the account seemed like a burner account and found this site. Figured I’d report them here as well.

Monique –

Ordered 2 tees weeks ago and they won’t provide a tracking number.

Monica –

Yeah I’ve been sent 2 DMs by clearly burner accounts on Instagram asking me to become a brand ambassador and to message the main account

Amber –

so im 13 about to be 14 and all of a sudden they dm me on instagram and they keep on trying to get me to spend money but like im 13 so ofc i dont have money to spend online and just they are really weird

Kendra –

I’m in the process of emailing a “Monica” but the responses in my dm’s are VERY automated. The website once I arrived on there I noticed it was made on square space or something similar nothing that’s a big red flag but I thought and assumed due to their following nothing was wrong. I have no clue if this is real and doubt it because of the serval people here and their stories. I’m only 15 and as young as thats sounds everyone even at my age should double check everything I almost spent money on this but will try to keep this page updated with my experience with them and seeing if I can actually get in touch with them.

Caroline –

I purchased three shirts from here under the idea of being a brand ambassador and have been waiting two weeks for my parcel to reach the post office.. no one has been responding to me and I too believe that I am speaking to a Monica . I am highly disappointed that they are using us like this … and I will be taking further action

Mindy –

Could please also tell more about “further action”? At the moment I created a post on my Instagram story in order to prevent anyone from making orders in this “shop”

Douglas –

I have no clue if you can share details on the “further action” but if you can will you tell me? My email is [email protected] if you would like to get in touch with me please email me. I would like for this matter to get more exposure so other creators/people won’t fall for this.

Katie –

My 15 year old daughter and I ordered her “ambassador” items, using the code they gave her to help them make sales. They took advantage of her and her online presence to make sales they were not intending on filling.
Two months later, it’s still just a bit answering Instagram, Facebook, and email.
Do not place orders with this company, do not share their content.

Nathaniel –

This is ridiculously scary that they are attacking and reaching out to teens my age and scamming them for exposure. I’m trying to get exposure about how they are scamming people so other teens won’t get scammed! If you want to get in contact with me my email is [email protected] more info or an interview would help so much to try and take down this scam/these exposure hungry people!

That Sounds Gay is advertising for ambassadors on Instagram and Facebook. They instantly message you back, give you a code and tell you that you are in! Then you’re told to go purchase some times from their website and once you get the item your supposed to take photos with them tagging their company.i ordered items online and was given a faulty tracking number and have had NO help with the customer service email. Sadie, Monica … That’s who they say they are in the instant messages on the social medias I seen other comments on Facebook that there are others dealing with the same issues.

Dominic –

This story as I read through these complaints get worse I’m sorry you spent 40+ dollars on this product! I’m trying to get exposure to this scam so more people/teens/adult/kids know that they shouldn’t trust this brand! I would love to get in touch with you my email is [email protected] if you would like to get in contact!
