Type of a scam Debt Collections
They called me blocked the first time. I unfortunately answered, the guy said he was a process server and was trying to locate me to serve me papers. I didn’t know what he was even talking about. So he said he would send me a number to contact with a case number. Well he texted me the number from a 323 area code. So I call the number and they say I have a debt with Credit One Bank in the amount of 1800 USD. They had the wrong address, scary that they had my social security number. He kept threatening me that I need to pay or I will be sued. I started digging and cannot find anything about this "law firm." They continue to harass me especially after I asked for papers stating the debt I owed and how much. They sent me a letter by email only.. I suspect they are scammers.
