They advertised on INDEEDs job site to become a forwarding package courier. They sent (2) packages to my home to be mailed to another address. But just like any other hiring company they requested my personal information. The other strange thing that I noticed was, you go on their web site to download the shipping label and the package label has your name as the original shipper, no previous location besides yourself. After the two packages that I shipped it was time for them to pay me and now the website has shut down and they can’t be reached.

I responded to a job description. Was hired on for a probationary period of one month. I was supposed to receive packages print out the shipping label they gave me and drop off at the FedEx office. I did that for three weeks and the fourth week they disappeared. I never had access to them outside of the website messaging and their website is shut down. Their phone number has never worked.

I received a call from a guy with an accent stating that he was calling about a shipping clerk position I applied for online on Indeed.com in which I had applied to many jobs online. However, this job was basically working from home. He sent an email of a job offer letter which I had to sign then take a picture then upload it to the website including a picture of myself holding my ID. Once I did that he called and congratulated me on completing those steps and that I will start receiving packages within a week. The first 30 days is a probationary period and after 30 day of shipping off the first package I would receive monthly payment of 3,000 dollars. Once I received the first package I had to take a picture of it then upload it to the website then after shipping it off at a local FedEx Office take a picture of the receipt then upload that. I started thinking to myself this is way to easy to be legit, so I started doing research in which today I found that this is a new scam that is out there and I am a victim of it smh which saddens me. So I’m here giving my testimony I just recently tried to contact the number that called me and it was busy I then went to the website and messaged that I was no longer interested in working for the company. I hope this doesn’t come back hard on me because I’m a single parent who just recently lost my job and was honestly looking for another job.

I was offered employment via indeed. Then was sent an email to apply for a package handling job and soon was contacted via phone. I didn’t realize this was all fake until after I sent my drivers license through the website. I am so upset that I was taken advantage of when all I was seeking was employment.
