Type of a scam Government Grant
Consumer contacted Arizona BBB, this information was provided to an employee over the phone. The consumer received a Facebook message from her friend claiming that she had received $10,000 from the indicated Government Agency. She was prompted to call their number, once she did she was asked for additional personal information and was told that she was eligible. She declined. Upon further review of her friend’s Facebook message she noticed that her friend supposedly paid $550 to receive the grant.
