I dealt with the Michael Kaim team for months on end trying to purchase a home. The realtor, Jeff Carducci, was not presenting my offers to his client. He made it obvious to myself, my realtor and my mortgage broker that he was trying to find his own buyer to claim 100% of commission. Finally, our offer was presented and "accepted". We went back and forth with Jeff over ernest money. The sellers wanted us give more and more ernest money, and to use their title company for holding of the check. Everything was accepted, and a month later, they decided to back out once we sold our house and theirs under appraised (even though we offered them the full amount of the home) and were irate that they were not able to keep our ernest money. Still zero help from the realtor, we were ignored, told lies, etc. We spoke with many other employees of the Michael Kaim team such as Tina Hivnor, who was helpful at first but then completely ignored us as well. I contacted the sellers directly who told me that they had not planned on selling the home, which proves to me that they were trying to scam people out of ernest money. I see now that the home was re-listed, under the same realtor, and there is a contingent offer. I filed a complain against them, in which they completely ignored. This company is pathetic and needs to be looked into as I’m sure other people are being treated and scammed the same way.
