A man named John called me twice. When I answered the second time he said that he was with Apple and that there had been a security breach on my computer. He said it had been hacked and he need to access my computer to resecure it. We went through multiple steps and worked through apple.com. It all seemed pretty legit until toward the end he said there was $7200 of debt that needed to be reduced to zero. He said I needed to buy gift cards from Walmart and they would reimburse me. Now I can’t shut down my computer, he is still doing stuff on it.
