Type of a scam Phishing
Received phone call, on cell phone at 11:10 4/19/2017. Without introduction, they asked, "Are you the head of the household". I think they are looking for a "Yes". When I asked who it was, they said it was "The Arc", a local non-profit. When I asked why they wanted to know, she said she needed to ask a question. When I asked what "The Arc" was, she clearly read off of a statement. They are clearly using "The Arc’s" name improperly.
typically, when The Arc calls, it is looking to pick up used items. The callers usually indicate who they are, that they represent The Arc and that The Arc will have a truck in the area, the following week.
