Type of a scam Identity Theft
We recently moved to Texas and I decided to purchase a fishing license online due to it being so close to Christmas and crowded stores.
I did a search on the internet and the website www.texasfishinglicense.online popped up. I browsed through the website and found it user friendly and it seemed legitimate for me to buy it online. The website collected all my personal information, ss#, address, age,etc and then charged my credit card, which now have as well.
I never received a license even after I contacted them via an email address provided on the website. I got my first clue that I was scammed when I received a one line response, and there was some Spanish in there as well.
I reported them to my credit card company and the FBI, but as of this day, they are still out there scamming people for their personal information and money.
