Total money lost $98
Type of a scam Online Purchase
I saw an ad on Facebook for a trial of a product for muscle- building called
"testo- rip x", and they were only charging shipping for the trail. There
was a hidden button or part of the website which I oversaw (it must have
been very cleverly hidden, because I carefully read everything… or so I
thought). The next week, they charged my account an additional $88 dollars
for essential two bottles of herbal pills. Also, the same herbal supplements
could be bought at Walgreens for $12 a bottle… total scam.
I did a charge back with my bank, and I also called the company. The
company agreed to refund me, giving me instructions on how to return the
product. After I shipped back the product, my bank canceled the charge back
on my behalf, as I told them the company was complying.
After about 3 weeks, no refund came. I called, and they said that since I
attempted a charge- back, all arrangements for the return and refund to be
made were canceled. I asked if I could at least have the product back, as I
was stuck with paying $88, and they refused! They said that since I had
attempted a charge back that, even though I had returned the product, paid
for shipping for it ($10), that there was nothing else they could do and the
case was closed… so now I’m out $98, and have received absolutely NOTHING
for it.
What can I do?
