Type of a scam Employment
I applied for a Work from Home position for Terumo Medical Corporation for an HR Assistant position. I had an online "interview", wasn’t by videochat, just by google hangouts (odd yes). Then I was "hired", needed to provide written signature etc for completion of job offer. With said job offer I would be provided a laptop and software equipment that the companies finances would pay for. Said scammer wanted to know who and how long I’ve been with the bank I have been with. The "company" then sent a check for the equipment to be purchased with. I called the bank on the check and they said it was fraudulent.
