A local Meridian resident received a phone call June 11th, the caller ID identified the caller as being Terri’s Cafe. The person calling said that they were offering discount rooms to the Hyatt Regency through the cafe. The woman hung up the phone and called the cafe. The phone company says that this is called spoofing to hide the actual phone number. We don’t know what the scam involved because the call was immediately disconnected.
