Incorrectly typed URL address in browser for youtube, which caused a pop up to display on screen saying that the computer had been infected with a virus. The pop up gave a number to call to have the virus removed, (1 844 524 8437). After calling the number the organization, Technoji Guru, requested a visa or debit card to make a payment and stated that they would then fix the computer using remote access. After giving the debit card and being charged CAD $133 there was no work completed and they continued to use remote access on the computer until it was powered off.
