Type of a scam Home Improvement

Our company( roofing company) receives about 2-3 emails through our company website a week inquiring for an estimate to replace their roof on a home they do not even own. Each initial email includes the question, "Do you accept credit cards for payment?" The grammar in each email isn’t very good either. When we ask for a telephone number to contact them to set up an appointment, each different person gives us the exact same response which I have copied and pasted below starting with the most recent reply:

"Thanks for the reply i will like you to know that am presently recuperating from the diagnosis of lung Cancer and am still in the hospital as such i had to spend some time for proper intensive care i will be moving into the house after my surgery for lung cancer i will like you to handle everything for me you can email me the estimate so do you need the address So we can proceed further?

Awaiting

Yes, we do accept credit cards. We would love to give you an estimate. If you could give our office a call I can set up an appointment to meet with our specialist. The office is open Mon-Fri 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The telephone number is (***)-***-***. We look forward to speaking with you! Thank you for contacting ** *** * *** *** *** for your home improvement needs.

Have a great day

Thanks.

I wonder as to why they keep contacting our company, even after I have replied to each person expressing that we know they do not own the home they want an estimate for and that we have heard the same exact story of being hospitalized because of lung cancer many, many times. I also wonder as to why they would obviously lie about such a serious health condition just to get an estimate to replace a roof?? I am fed up with wasting my time replying to these emails which are obviously some sort of scam. Our company has gone no further as to actually provide an estimate but I just want to warn others in case this may lead to more than just an estimate.
