Phone call this morning saying we had won $500,000. We were to have received a written notice, but hadn’t. This money had to go through the Federal Gaming Authority of which we could call to verify, but no phone number was given. It was a tax office calling to inform us of the delivery of the check on Friday between 9 and 11. A courier would deliver the check. And need additional information then. These tax attorneys(2 women) that called would give us wonderful help by taking care of the federal tax that would be due even reducing it from $216,000 to $65,000. We could pay the courier on Friday. This money was to come through an international bank, HSBC. When we mention needing to check out all of this since there are scams going around, we heard a dead line! She had hung up.
