Tapjoy

Type of a scam Phishing

There’s a game called Kill Shot Bravo that uses TapJoy as a way of getting fake gold as a currency in their game. You have to complete various actions through Tapjoy to get the free gold that you can use in the game called Kill Shot Bravo. Some of these actions are to complete surveys to acquire free gold to be spent in the game.

What they do is get your information then ask you to make a purchase before the end of the survey. (There is no end to the survey) You can try to back out or cancel but by then it’s too late, they have your information.

I did one of these surveys and didn’t complete it because they actually asked me for my credit card number! Since then I’ve been getting phone calls (and I’m on the do not call list) and porn spam and text messages from various companies wanting to sell me something.

I find that they are deceptive and use this tactic to gather information otherwise I would have not wanted to have given out.

I am also contacting the FCC, Google and possibly a class action lawyer.
