Type of a scam Tech Support
I am not 100% sure if it’s a scam or not so please help me to investigate. I applied for a full-time job at System Peak Solution (The company is originally from UK and planning to open a headquarter in Ohio, US). They called me to interview and I passed. The job description is online home-based work to assist the manager. They gave me tasks every few days. Long story short, here is why I think it’s a scam company:
1/ The company uses Bitcoin as a currency to pay (maybe that’s normal)
2/ In one of my task, I received a Well Fargo check from a partner company, went to the bank and cash out. Then went to Bitcoin ATM to send to the company address. I went to Bank of America, they denied a check. Then I went to Well Fargo, they said the account was closed. The task is deleted afterward.
3/ My work login portal the next day was blocked. I tried to access but the access was denied. I sent an email to my manager but google mail said the email address did not exist. I called my manager, she said she will contact the IT support and I was still waiting.
Note: When I applied, I was required to provide identity, so I uploaded my Green Card and my driver license. Now the access was closed, I am afraid they gonna use it for bad purpose and I don’t know what to do. Please help me.
