Type of a scam Other

I was contacted by this company while in search of a job on Indeed, accounting related work from home. Things were great until they said they were sending my first assignment as a “Payment Processor” which was to include a customers payment and my first weeks wages. Very odd I thought, but waited for the mail piece. Once received, there was a large sum of money in the form of a cashiers check in my name from the “customer” that the “HR Manager” said I was deposit into my personal account. After questioning it further, she would give me no other information than to deposit the funds and send a copy of a deposit slip receipt.

Type of a scam Employment

There is an employment ad on Indeed.com. The individual named Domino Perruzi has sent me email requests for information to perform a background check so I can begin a work from home Payment Processor position. I never received an interview, and the contact information in his email signature is incomplete with no address or phone number. I checked the web site and it does not contain an address and phone number either. While I am not positive this is a scam, I have not been able to verify the authenticity of this business anywhere. If you could do that for me before I send them information for a background check I would appreciate it.
