About a year and a half ago, my computer crashed. A page came up for me to call a certain number to bring my computer back and that was the only way I could get my computer back. Stupidly, I did just that. I had no idea what to do. This foreign person lead me thru all the steps to restore my computer. When I finally realized what I had done, I already agreed to pay them. Fortunately, I was able to cancel that agreement, however, they still said I owed them $300. plus, American dollars for their services. I have been receiving phone calls ever since, saying that I owe them money. Lately, the calls stopped for about 3 months. Today, for the first time,they left a message on my voicemail to call 888.834.7902 so they could give me a refund of money that I had paid for their services. First of all, I never paid them a red cent, so that was suspicious. If they were legitimate, then why would they be offering me a refund? I thought maybe it was another company, so I called them back. I played along for awhile, and when the pop-up said that the tech person would be able to see my computer screen and control my mouse, then I knew it was the same scammers!! I hung up immediately. The techy called back, but I did not answer.
