Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
They found my resume on a job website and someone named XXXXXX XXXXXX emailed me about a job interview the next day on hangouts IM. After a few insignificant interview questions, offer me a work at home position as an accountant/book keeper for a legitimate company in Singapore. I don’t have the back ground for accounting, however they offered $30/hour and training. When i did the research the company does exist. However, I bet they don’t know anything about the scam since they are overseas. Mrs XXXXXXX XXXXXXXX wants to send me a check to deposit in my bank account to purchase a list of accounting software. The list is a rather long list of accounting software that duplicates the same functions. I got suspicious when noticed that, also wondered why they just did not send me the software directly instead of sending me a check to deposit into my bank account. I checked on this site and saw a similar complaint, just with different company name and different impostors and knew this was a scam. That is too bad that there are people out there giving good established companies a bad reputation. I am suppose to speak with them tomorrow at 9:00 am to continue this fiasco. Of course I won’t continue to entertain them. I appreciate this site. Thanks to the person who took the time to complain to avoid me the shame.
