Type of a scam Debt Collections
I received a letter dated 5/22/2015 from "*** ***" of "*** * *** *** * *** ** *** *** ** *** *** *** notifying me I had defaulted on a Payday Loan and the aforementioned "agency" is seeking to settle the debt with me for less than the "originally Owed amount." If I did not settle, I would face civil litigation and have my assets seized. The problems are these: 1) the "Payday Loan scam" has been tried on me once, and I fell 2) the address and phone number do not coincide with any known businesses or addresses 3) the "*** most closely related to this "***" is DEAD according to the *** *** ** ***. Worst part is, well, they have some of my identifying information. Time to prosecute a scammer.
