I was contacted by "Sgt. Steven Kilpatrick" to work as an assistant. Researching hotels, inquiring about military artworks, and helping to plan a reunion and collecting donation work for multiple agencies. All of it seemed sketchy, he requested my login and password for my bank, refused to do direct deposit for my work, and when I suggested doing a GoFundMe for the donations he refused and said it had to be venmo, cashapp, or zelle. (But he couldn’t pay me via any of these methods, he wanted my personal login and password…) anyway after completing a couple tasks he sent me a cashier’s check for what I thought was for my paycheck. NOPE!!! The check was for close to 5k and he wanted me to deposit it into my account immediately via ATM and then would give me instructions for how the money was to be used. (Red flag #537 at this point) I brought it to my bank and asked the teller to verify that the check was legitimate prior to depositing it. Not surprisingly, it wasn’t, and I could have been in serious trouble had I deposited that fraudulent check!!!!

He told me id be his assistant, then gave me a couple online research tasks. Look up some hotels, check flights, simple.

Then he said he needed my bank log ins so he can deposit my paycheck…. well uhh you dont need to. You can use a million different options.
